Optimal mpeg2 resolution and bitrate settings for VHS?

    Hi, Could someone tell me what is the optimal mpeg2 resolution and bitrate setting for capturing a VHS Tape in mpeg2. What is the limit of the bitrate setting where above it wouldn’t increase the quality and just waste space? and same for audio.
