   I can output my laptop display to my TV but the DVD playing on my laptop does not play on the TV. Is there a way to make this work?
   
   I am using InterVideo Player 3.0 on a Compaq Presario laptop with an S-video output.

   just get the windvd or the new microsoft media 9, that will work
