i overburned something and apart from fusking the cd-r( i dont care) my burner has been acting quite wierd.! cd's are writing alot slower than usual and for some reason when i try to burn anymore than about 650mb on a 700 mb cd it wont let me anymore! which is very weird because it used to all ways work. im using nero, tried disc at once, track at once, different cdr, everything. this happpened to my frined and he had to reformat his pc. i really dont wanna do that because all my work and data is on it plus its an interruption. have u heard of damage cause by overburn b4?
for some reason when i trie to burn more than 680 mb ofdata on a 700mb cd it says "insert higher capitie disc" and i cannot overburn either. its really wierd how this just happens. i have divx movies on my pc which are like 699mb and i cant put them on cd now.
Not neccesarily the best idea there since the Nero tool will report incorrect ASPI state in many cases. Use the ASPICHK that comes with most ASPI distributions. If you are concerned about your ASPI installation visit http://www.hazza.dsl.pipex.com/faq.htm#ASPI (there's also a quickie kinda explaination on my opionion regarding Nero InfoTools) Yes that does happen. More common in the older models and to an extent on the more recent models it depends on how much you overburn by _ _X_X_X_X_X_[small]ASUS A7N8X-X, XP2500+ OC'd to XP3200+ Samsung 1024MB, PC2700 OC'd to PC3200 480GB [3x160GB, 7200, 8MB] EVGA, GeForce4 Ti4600 128MB Rules and Policies: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/2487[/small]
