Overburning, please help!!

    Hi, I'm trying to record an anime VCD with Evangelion episodes and I was able to cut the VCD project on NeroVision down to 719.9MB, but my blank CDs have 703.1MB. Is there anyway that I can overburn this project, or something I can do to pull down quality just a tad to make the episodes fit? Pleeeease?? I reeeeeeally wanted to burn this, and cutting down four episodes and making chapters and all took a lot of time, so pleeeease, say there's a way to make it magically happen!

    aw, c'mon, I posted this thread almost two days ago... pleeease, someone help? anyone? creaky? alkohol? andmerr?!??!?! someoneeee?!?!??!!?!

    Overburning is a risk that is not worth it, can you put the files on a Dual Layer disc??

    You can uses Nero CD-DVD Speed to test the Overburing capacity of your medium. Then with that knowledge in mind, if you make an image file of your project cut down to a size that is slightly below that of the overburn capacity then use Nero Burning ROM with the short lead-out enabled in the Expert Settings it should work. [bold]A word of warning: Overburing can possibly damage you recorder so use with caution.[/bold] On a lighter note: If your burner supports overburning its not that big of a deal

    I would not recommend burning at overburn, it is useless down the road and of course you are likely to create "coasters" only.

    Wow, I had no idea it was so not recommended! Thx a lot you guys! Guess I'll just have to cut the episodes down a bit. Thx anyway tho!
    PS: are there dual layer CDs?? I thought those only existed for DVDs...

    There are only DL DVDs
