hi everyone. My mobo is the AOPEN AX4BS, and i am just beginning to overclock it. Now the mobo can handle 2.6ghz and my CPU is 2.6ghz. So if i try to overclock it will it work? I have overclocked it up to 2.86ghz, but i am not sure if that is making it run faster. can i overclock it all the way up to the highest it goes? when i overclocked it up to 3.004ghz the computer started but when i was in aim and i pressed enter to send a message i believe my speakers were out. does that mean that it cannot be stabilized at that point.? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks All

    Hi,
not sure on the O/C abilities of that board, but the first thing to try would be increasing your voltages to try and improve stability.

This may help settle things, but will also increase the heat, so make sure you have decent cooling in your setup.

go thru this thread before you start to overclock or you'll have a dead system as it sounds somewhat you don't really know your way around a computer & that can be dangerous to the computer's well being
