PAL .avi to NTSC .mpg (for VCD)

    hi, this is my first post and i am a newbie to this kind of thing, i've burned a few vcds before, but never had this problem.

    i'm using TMPGEnc and tried to convert an .avi to .mpg so i could burn it like usual, but after it converts there is no video, just audio. i found that when i load the .avi file, its a PAL file, but i live in the good ol USA, so i need to get NTSC. what can i do to get this file converted properly?_X_X_X_X_X_[small]"hey greenly, onion bagel..."[/small]

    i tried all that again...its encoding to a file, but there is no video still...just audio. any other ideas? or should i try and find a better file?

    by the way...i appreciate anyone and everyone who will help out.
