DV input (AV2 channel) on new DMR-E60 supposed to be only for camcorders. I have tried to download editted home video using Ulead Videostudio in DV format, but it wont recognise. Yet I can download the same DV to camcorder and then to DV input of DMR (but this would probably result in loss of quality). Panasonic can't explain to me why I cannot go direct to burn DVD- theoretically DV output should be the same. Has anyone got a solution?
Have alook at my thread in DVD-R for newbies. I think you'll find that the makers are deliberately 'fixing' the dv iput to only accept dv for camcorders. Probably a DMR issue that will get worse - unless some brave soul comes up with a 'widget' to standardise the dv input signal to 'fool' the Panasonic or Pioneer DVD recorder into thinking the dv signal is from a 'controllable consumer device'. BTW - I don't think didgital signals suffer 'loss' as they are dealing in 'digits' not images.
