I have just purchased the Pansonic DMR-E85H it comes with a 80gb Harddrive, Im looking at putting in a 160gb harddrive instead! Wot is the way of doing this??
1. Take Old One Out 2. Put New One In ( You might want one that doesn't run too hot, if you're going to keep it in there) 3. See What You Get, It probably won't be 160Gb worth of time. I think the U.S ones can go to 137Gb... they come with 120Gb.
It might need all of its partitions removed too, if it had been in a PC. The thing does not use or have a "File System".
My DMR-E85 came with a 120GB hard drive. Are you sure yours is only 80? Here's the item description I got: Panasonic® (DMR-E85HS) Progressive Scan DVD Recorder Price...$549.00 Records DVD-RAM and DVD-R at high speeds. Also records onto DVD-R discs, which play back on most conventional DVD players. Built-in 120GB hard disk stores about 300 hours in EP mode. Includes remote.
