This receiver is abt 5 years old and very little used. Recently is performing as usual but sound just 'dies' after 5/10 minutes. Re-start removes problem but again only for 5/10 minutes when sound fails again. All import channels are affected. Can a handy DIY owner replace the faulty part - what is it and how do I find it on the motherboard? Tks,
check your speaker wiring connections on both the speakers and receiver. most likely when a receiver shuts down its because either its output channels are short circuiting or its over heating.
