Is this newly burned disk a regular DVD+/-R or a DVD-Ram.
If it's a DVD-Ram disk, not all DVD players will accept it.
If it's a regular disk, then the files are named wrong.
    A DVD-Video disk contains two folders, VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS.
The VIDEO_TS folder contains VOB, IFO and BUP files.

Also, if the camera came from the US I assume it is saving the video as NTSC however the likes of NERO usually issues a warning and will convert it to PAL if required (I'm only assuming that you are not in North America).

    1 its a regular dvd-r dsc
2 the files are named by the camcorder i didn't name them they are, dvd_rtav click on that folder and there is 3 folders named vr mangr vr copy vr movie vro file.
3 how can i convert these folders so i can copy to a regular dvd-r dsc and be played on any stand alone dvd player.

Open DVD_RAV and drag the file VR_MOVIE.VRO to the desktop.
Add .MPG to the end of the name.

Either use Nero to make the DVD using the renamed file or:

Run this program and load the file.

    http://dl.afterdawn.com/vsoDivxToDVD_setup_v0.5.2b.exe
Import the file(s) (AVI, WMV,MPEG, VOB)
Output (standard DVD file format) to a folder on the HDD.
Set 'Aspect' to 4:3 (if you have a regular tv)
Set 'Standard' to NTSC (if you live in North America)

    Burn dvd with 'ImgBurn'

    http://www.imgburn.com/
    put blank dvd in drive.
    Run ImgBurn
    Mode > 'Build'
    Output > 'Device'
File > 'Browse for Folder', highlight on the 'VIDEO_TS' folder, > 'OK'
Set burn speed to 4x and click the green write button.
