partition is getting all programmes

    hi i have a partition and its 6gig for windows but all the programmes i install are going on it and i cant gat the rest of the drive to take what im putting on the computer

    Ill try explain better i got my friends pc to fix,i put windows xp on it, during the installation it asked me to partition the drive which i let it do, so windows was installed on the partition which is 6 gigs, but the problem is iv alot of programmes for the pc and there all installing on the 6gig partition i want to know how i can get all the programmes and basically everything to save to the larger part of the drive which is 180gigs before i installed windows xp my friend was having this same problem i taught it was something he done but its happining me aswell and i dont know how to make the larger part the primary please help

    You need to resize your c: partition. For that you need to have some unallacated space on the hard drive available.

    Go to control panel/adminastrative tools/computer management/storage
    thats where you well need to make the changes. In windows it's call expand instead of resize.

    It's best to save any valuable data on your hard drive before you make any partition changes to them.

    Also if you can't get it done that way, the free program partition logic will allow you to resize partitions.
