    OK here's the details:
My system originally came with Windows XP Home edition.
I now want to make my system dual bootable.
I've used Partition Magic 8.0 to create the partition for Windows 98.
Everything went fine, I was able to install 98 but I get an error at startup, here's the error:

    "While initalizing device NDIS:
Windows protection error. You need to restart your computer."

What is this NDIS device, and how can I fix the error?

Hi, you will have to downclock your CPU speed to less than 2.1GHz in the bios, try then and it should work, either that or just stick with XP.
    Hope it helps

Thanks for the info. but I have already figured out the prob.
98 cannot normally be run on a computer with a processor speed over 2.1GHz like you said so I had to search the entire internet to find the "patch" to fix it. Thank goodness for driverguide for being there.
