Patent activation without Internet access

Hi there
I bought Nero 8 Ultra for my brother as a present a few months ago, but recently a "patent activation" screen pops up for when he tries to use Recode.

The thing is..he is not able to connect to the internet to complete this!

I hear there is a way to get around this by deleting some files in the Nero folder and the Registry.

Can anyone please tell me how to do this...

 

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Nero\Shared\NL3

its in there....

I did that...but I'm still getting the "Patent activation required" barrier
