Is there a way that i could use my pc as a landline phone... NOT like SKYPE of vonage or any of that stuff... without buting a program... maybe a freeware
a few things cuz it looks like u don't really know what you are talking about A)skype is freeware but it costs $30 a year to call land lines (unlimited minutes) you can also get skype phones therefore if you are ok with not being able to call during a power outage then this is the best bet B)if you want skype alternitives then try ekiga soft phone and iphox however they all charge for calling land lines, be it minimal, seeing as how iphox charges 2.5 cents a minute and i'm assuming that ekiga is in the similar ballpark
