    Hi guys,

I've been thinking about getting (or making?) a custom pc case, but the prices were always so high (and to make one, I never did find any easy to follow instructions). I've never actually built anything myself, so it would be easier to try to pay someone else to make it, except for the price..

SO! If anyone here knows a good tutorial about how I could create a custom case for my pc, I'd love to try it out! =) My case was destroyed a few months ago by my brother's friend. I had to super-glue some pieces of it together, but some stuff (like the whole front panel) wasn't salvageable. I don't even know how he managed to do this (I had to replace the HD too =/ ).

I tried looking around the 'net and on the forum here, but I didn't find anything relevant. Maybe the search strings I use aren't specific to what I want, but searching on the 'net, I DID find pictures of custom cases, but nothing about how to make them, or pricing or anything of that sort. =(. Hope you guys can give me some pointers! I'd love to at least try this out, considering my case is shot anyway! xD

If you haven't done anything like this before, you might want to start out modding an existing case.
    Have a read through this:

The best solution of course is not to let your brother's friend ruin your PC!

oh that's pretty cool, thanks for the link!

I was able to mostly salvage my case. The front panel's ruined though, so I was thinking I could try making something fancy to at least replace that part. It used to have a door, that's broken and can't be repaired (I tried =/ ). and the front panel itself, I glued to the rest of the case (but only on the top, it doesn't even fit in at the bottom anymore).

So I pretty much have an existing case, so if I could work out something for the front, that'd be awesome. I already have some ideas, and I'm just looking around for more info ^_^

Oh and I he wasn't supposed to be using my pc at all! I was away for about 8 months and I had it password protected even from the bios (so it wouldn't start up w/o a pass), but one of my brothers needed something on my HD and I gave him the password, and then he gave it to the other brother, and he gave it to his friend -_-

    Lame...
Have you contacted the case manufacturer - they may be able to send you a replacement front...

no, I just know the case's name, but not the manufacturer. I had originally got it at one of those "computer shows" (which mostly have discounted stuff because either it's floor model things, or from cheap Chinese companies, as I found out later. no offense to anyone on the board).

I did find this one page, if anyone else is looking for anything like this.

custom cases, and how to make them, he has detailed enough instructions so that anyone can make stuff according to their own ideas. So I'm gonna attempt to try working with the same stuff he uses. Should be easier for me considering I'm just thinking of a front panel ^_^.
If anyone finds out anything else, do let me know. Thanks again for all your help!
