PC freezing!! HELP!!

    Built my first PC about a year ago and its been freezing about once to twice a day and I honestly have no idea what is causing it. Was wondering if anyone could help out???

    Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9775, EVGA LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 790i Ultra SLI ATX Intel Motherboard, OCZ GameXStream700W PSU, Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 320GB 7200 RPM SATA, 4GB CORSAIR XMS3 DHX (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800), NVIDIA GeForce 9800GTX.

    Is anything overclocked? and when you say freezing is it BSOD??

    No BSOD, whatever was on the screen stays there and then whatever sound was coming out of the speakers starts to skip rapidly over and over. Overclocked processor to 3.6 GHz.

    You mean QX9770, not 9775. The 9775 doesn't fit in a 790i board.
    Is there anything in your system log?
    The problem is probably the motherboard, nforce boards are very unreliable especially in the long term, but it could be something simple like a driver issue.
