haven't backup a game for sooooooo long normally just find a gamefix .exe file install game onto HD apply patch and play game..... but how do i backup a game on cd/dvd without the protection !!! pc/dvdrom game ricky ponting cricket 2005 is the game i am tryin to backup......its has no gamefix.exe file the best software? i read Alcohol 120% or CloneCD ? thanks for any advice or help
Just use DVD Decrypter and Read ISO, Write ISO. For DVD PC Game Back-Up's. If you alreaddy installed the game, Just get a mini MDI File for Your Game and mount the Image using Daemon Tool's or Alchohal, and it should trick the game that the disc is in but it 's just a virtual drive which should play the game. Easy as Pie!
thanks 3dluis for the reply - sounds simple enough !!! well i tried what u said and i guess i am doin something wrong? i get these error messages after i mount the small mdi file with Daemon Tool's it lauching the game until i get this message "insert the cricket 2005 disc into another drive then press 'retry'" I have also got this error message "more than one product disc was found in your drives. please leave one disc and press 'retry" (but this in because i have the backup dvdgame in the drive alone with the virtual drive i think)
hey 3dluos yer man tried without the cd in drive and mount the mdi.file the game starts the opening screen which states checking cd/ and copy protection but the game just hangs/crashes - the protection is starforce !!! hmm it should have really worked
