PC Keeps Freezing Help!

    Whenever I try to copy something from my desktop to my external USB hard drive, the file copies until 10 seconds or halfway and my entire computer just stops responding. I currenty have Windows vista home premium service pack 1. Any suggestions?

    Try connecting it to a USB port in the back of your computer, not the front.

    is it homebuilt or a major company eg packard bell, asus, acer, alienware because if it a homebuilt computer mayby check your RAM is supported??

    victor, use the back ports as GrandpaBW suggests as i have that problem with mine when using my usb 2.5" 40gig laptop drive.
