So, I've made a DVD with episodes from a cartoon, and it already has subtitles in it (just saying to make things clear). Sound is ok, picture/image is ok (running smoothly), both in pc and tv (dvd player). The problem is, in the pc, the image is the right size (fits screen perfectly), while on tv, the image is "smaller", it doesn't fit well and a part of the image is cut; I mean, the area of the original film that shows on tv is smaller, reaching the substitles to the point that some cannot be read. See the red arrow in the image to get a better idea: The original files are AVI. I've tried to use both WinAVI and Tmpgenc Plus to convert them, but on the 2 dvd players (on tv) I've tried, this problems appears. Any help would by wonderful. Thanks in advance.
Ahhhh came across this very problem when started making vcds, i to used TMPGENC and it quite easy all you have to do is adjust the sizeing of it go into the clip frame option(in project wizard) and have a play with the settings what i did was just add abit on the bottom so it brought it up just enuff can be abit fiddly to get it right someone might know an easier way
yeah, I thought about that too, and I was gonna make a new dvd with this setting, BUT I wanted to know if someone knew an easier way, or a way that it could be played on both pc and tv in fullscreen. but thanks anyway!
It's mostly a cropping issue. If your tv cannot be resized to view the picture correctly, try cropping the AVI if your codec allows it.
I'm new so please bare with me guys.I've been using DivxToDVD to create some DVDs and they play very well in my PC but playback in my stand alone has glitches mostly just I guess what you'd call pixalization or something like that.Other than that I have no problems with it.Stand alone is Panasonic (54MHz/10bit video converter)
