Hey Guys. I'm having a problem encoding a movie file! I have tried WinAvi,Nero,TMPGEnc,Avi2vcd and Cucusoft but every time I end up with a disc that my PC plays perfectly but my DVD player seems to screw the audio. I hear the audio, it just seems to be in a pitch that my ears cant handle. I have tried decompressing the audio first, processing the WAV with virtualdub and just about everything I can think of. Has anyone had a similar problem or have any suggestions? p.s. Gspot reads the video as xvid and the audio as MPEG-1 layer 3. Thanks

I had a similar problem with one of my AVI files. I had done this before with good success using AVItoDVD but this one particular file wouldn't play on my real DVD player. Tried DivxToDVD and it worked. The shareware version adds an insignificant watermark to the first 5 minutes of the movie but if your movie is worth watching you won't notice it.

Thanks for taking a look at my problem 455kHz, and I tried out the program which seemed to work well and was certainly as quick as WinAvi that I normally use, but unfortunatly it still produced an audio track that my DVD player cant handle but plays perfectly on the PC!It doesnt seem as though the audio is fast or slow, just that it is distorted almost as though I was listening underwater! Also it doesnt seem to get any louder no matter how high I raise the volume on the TV? Anyone else have any ideas? Thankyou.
