Hey there, my friend has a pc didn't get a good look at all the technical specs of it but it's a intel core 2 due 2.4 i think, it's got 2gigs ram some asus SLI pci-e mobo and a geforce 7900 gt. Probolem is it just shuts down when it loads windows, it has windows vista on it but i formatted it cause he kept getting the BSOD so now it has xp, it works fine when it's just been formatted until we installed the graphics card drivers, it will work 5 minutes after that and get shorter and shorter. Things i have tried to fix it already; - Formatted pc - installed an earlier version of the graphics card drivers - put my graphics card in which is a 9800 gtx worked until i installed drivers again, repeated above step with my card. - Cleaned dust from the heatsink (there was loads) I have thermal paste incase it's overheating and i'm going around on thursday to see if it helps It can start in safe mode btw which is why i thought it might have been graphics / heat related any other suggestions are welcome Thanks Daniel.
it appears to be a software issue but make certain psu has the power to handle the card. did you load all the motherboard drivers after installing xp?
