Hello, my sister has a problem with her PC where whenever she attaches a USB device her pc restarts with a blue screen saying -
    STOP : 0x000000FC (0xF78EE8E8, 0x03F40963, 0xF78EE848, 0x00000001)

It is a Packard Bell BV MCP73VT-PM running Win XP pro.
At first she thought it was just doing it with her iPod, but it also does it with her Camera and USB adapter, which leads me to believe it is probably the USB or Motherboard drivers which are outdated.
The drivers for that model though seem really hard to find and I mostly just come across those stupid driver scanner programs.

Can anyone help me with this issue? I'm sure it wouldn't take a lot to fix, but it's a really annoying problem since she can't update anything on her iPod any more. Oh and she can connect her iPod and Camera to another pc fine so it's definitely an issue with her pc.

Thanks ALOT for any help. :)

uninstall all the usb ports & hubs in device manager, restart windows so can find new hardware & load it's drivers.
