when i try starting up one of my pc as soon as it tries to start it shuts off.but if i pull out the cpu it will stay running .cpu shot?
leave the cpu in, remove all cards except for videocard unless part of motherboard, remove all ram except for 1 stick & disconnect all cables to drives. any domed or leaking capacitors on the motherboard? try another psu to see what happens.
I had similar issues it was due to 1 of my fans being damaged and either videocard or cpu had overheated not sure which but after replacing the fan it works fine.
there are no domed or leaking capacitors.. diconected ever cable and ram then put back in now it turns on and stays running.board has onboard video .i am leaning more to a bad hard drive ?
He can even disconnect the hard drive to see if video or any other ibad. This is kind of a reversed method to save time.....Just thought I would help a little
