PC to HDTV Help

I have a Dell PC and I would like to connect it to my HDTV so I can use the TV as a monitor.

How do I go about this, what cables do I need?

 

does ur pc have dvi or hdmi out ports

then u need dvi-hdmi cable or hdmi to hdmi cable

if u use dvi cable u might need audio cable too i think

if u have hdmi u don't need anything

 

How do I tell which type of port I have on my pc?

 

hi if u have white color inlet thats dvi
if its looks like little thinner than usb and abit longer its hdmi
