hi, iv got a Packard Bell imedia 1602 and have to purchased to 1gb sticks of ram, upon installing them the pc boots to the packard bell screen, then trys to run windows xp and comes up with the message ati2mtag.sys error Page_Fault_in_NonPaged_Area Can anybody help me? Thanks
What type of ram did you get? A little info for you here... http://www.comptick.com/packard-bel...drives-battery-batteries-upgrade-options.html and here.. http://www.pcbuyerbeware.co.uk/RAMProblems.htm Cheers.
Just so that you can discount the new sticks from absolute fault, use one stick only and try..remove and then use the other. As a "control", put back an original ram stick and retry.
hi, iv tried each 1gb stick seperate and neither of them work, it only works with the origional 256mb stick, Thanks
I went to the Crucial Memory Advisor Tool. http://www.crucial.com/index.aspx?o...18512:eveipko-jyiaahkwrauaaaaf:20081022154832 I see no listing for a Packard Bell imedia 1602. Where did you buy the RAM sticks?
Memory Upgrade for the Packard Bell iMedia 1502 Desktop/PC * Module Size: 1GB * Package: 184-pin DIMM * Feature: DDR PC2700 * Specs: DDR PC2700 • CL=2.5 • Unbuffered • NON-ECC • DDR333 • 2.5V • 128Meg x 64 •
@peshtigo. There's a world of difference in what he has too what he needs by the info you posted. Even if it is the model gaz states, there's the buffered and un-buffered. Good digging around there pesh.
hi, thanks for the replys and help, yes it is definatly a 1602 and it never came up on crucial with it but the crucial scanner scan my system and said it was defo pc3200 ddr 400. The origional ram has 256mb DDR, 400, CL3 on it Thanks
This is what I found (your 1602). http://www.satech.com/packard-bell-...a-memory-packard-bell-imedia-1602-memory.html and http://www.ramcity.com.au/system/20582.htm Also I have called Crucial Tech Support (toll free of course). The support was fast, courteous, and helpful. And all Crucial RAM is guaranteed or your money back even if it's your fault.I found out for myself. The only place I go for RAM. Toll-free for US and Canada 800-336-8915
I'm impressed Mr peshtigo. That effort is tremendous I must say. Fancy tech support taking less than four hours or less eh? Btw..your efforts are ok ...i suppose! (joking mr.p) rofl. Cheers.
