i just installed a dvd-rw drive(First time ever installing on pc) but my pc won't detect/install it, and now it won't even recognize my dvd-rom either. It only detects one when i unplug the other. When i start up my pc, it says "S.M.A.R.T" drive or something like that is "disabled," does that have anything to do with my problem? someone please help me out

The possible problem is that you did not configure the jumpers on the back of your DVD-RW correctly. Chances are that your DVD-ROM is set to master, and your DVD-RW should be set to slave.

I would personally set the burner as master and the ROM as slave, but that's just me :)
