Is there such a thing as a wireless network card that would fit in a pci express slot? I've looked and wondered if there's such a thing. I just got a brand new pc and all it has is a pciex1 and a pciex16 slot. If thats not possible what are my options to connect to a router wirelessly?

Honestly that card is pretty cheap for a wireless N card. Your other option is basically buying an external USB wireless receiver.

i switched a while back from usb wireless to a pci-e wirless card and found that browsing speeds were similar but downloading increased significantly with the PCI card...

if your going to be using it for heavy downloading and gaming i would go with the pci card sammorris suggested

i think zyxel has a similar card

but otherwise you may just want to pick up a usb wirless card

    best of luck!

PCI or PCIe have better sustained transfer speeds than USB as they don't overheat.
