I have a friend who tripped over her monitor cable and ripped her VGA interface from the motherboard. The board has no AGP slot (E Machines with Imperial Mobo). So, can't I just put in a PCI card and disable the on board video.
Thanks in advance for all the advice.

Yep I know. Wrong forum. Please Move..

Hogan, What you suggested should work as long as nothing is shorted or grounded on the MB from the damage.

She ripped it completely off the board. I know it can't be reatached. So I hope PCI card will work.
If you have any ideas, I'm open to suggestions.
