my computer wich is currently running pclinuxos which was working for a while then it stopped after i erased some unnecessary files off from my averatic laptopnow it goes to the first screen after you turn it on yhen nothing but a blank screen thank you in advance
Obviously these files were not so "unnecessary" If you have partitioned properly for linux, with a seperate /home partition just reinstall the OS. If not then you will need to use a recovery system like knoppix std or similar... ohhh creaky.... help needed..and another rubbish thread title ;-)
sounds like you need to reinstate the boot sector, i'd help but i'm knee deep in rebuilding a few PC's with various OS's ie XP (i know i know!) Damn Small Linux, maybe a new untried Linux distro too, gonna be another loooong night/all nighter..
