I have Evox on my XBox, and I have a few emulators.
I have PCSXbox and a big prolem. The games are very large, so I can't continually keep them on my xbox harddrive AND rip Xbox games, so I want to burn the games (of course in BIN and CUE form with the exact same name)to CD-R or DVD-R and read them that way. I've looked all over the web and obviously this is possible.
I have a game that I loaded onto my Xbox harddrive and played through PCSXBox. It worked fine. I used the exact same files to burn to a CDR (and tried a DVDR as well), and both times, my PCSXBox on my XBox did read the files, but as soon as I clicked on the file name, it would go to a Loading Screen for about a half second then immediately back to the game select screen.
I looked all over for a burning guide, and found various general ones but none specifically for PCSXbox. Does anyone else have this problem, know what's wrong, or know how to fix it?
    Thanks

Sadly the way I read the .nfo File that should have came with PSXBox. IIRC it states that, the XBOX™ are physicaly unable to 'read' the Subchannel Data on PSX CD's. So the short answer is no. As far as being able to read .bin & .cue File from the CD? Well that's a question you should pose to the Dev's that made PSXBox. But, I think the asnwer would be the same. As the XBOXs'™ DVD-ROM Drive is not capable of reading the Subchannel Data which is stored on PSX CD's.

So you'll need to a. Get a Modchip (if you don't already have one. And b. Get a larger then Stock (i.e. 10Gb HDD), You can pickup a 200Gb HDD for around €80.00(EUR), And that should give you more then enough room to store your PSX collection on your XBOX™...

Thanks, but there are people who HAVE used this method of playing the PCSXBox games. There must be a way.
Plus, it just has to read a certain data format that is utilized by the PCSXBox. Basically, if XBOX can see the files on there, then PCSXBox should be able to use them.
Its odd because I cant really find any other questions about this specific thing anywhere, except on an old XBox site that I found cached on AOL, where the kid had the same problem, and the guy gave him a link of what settings to use when burning and it solved the problem.
Alas, the link is outdated an no longer useful.
I am going to punch my computer in the throat! And if anyone does this or knows the settings, throw them my way please!!
