Can anyone recommend an easy piece of software that can permanently merge a avi and a subtitle file (srt, sub etc.)to one file? I want to then burn it to disc Thanks
Hi there, VSO DivxToDVD v1.99 Pre-Release will: - Convert all your internet movies (.AVI / .MPG etc..) to DVD Format - Add subtitles (using .srt files / More formats to come in future releases) - Add chapters to each files - Create a menu (Menu entry for each file, based on the filename, for now) - Burn your DVD creation to media, with it's own built in burn engine Next Major Release should support .SUB subtitle files, VSO are working on it now !
To merge subtitles: SubMax. To merge AVI files: VirtualDub. Of course, both files must be synchronized, first.
Download VirtualDub and install. Then isnatll the Subtitles Plugin. This will add subtitles to the film and re-encode it to whatever you want (XVid, DivX, MPEG-1/2 etc.) Here are the links VirtualDub : http://virtualdub.sourceforge.net/ Subtitle Plugin : http://www.virtualdub.org/downloads/subtitler-2_4.zip Subtitles need to be coverted to SSA format, use SRTtoSSA found here: http://www.divx-digest.com/software/srt2ssa.html
