Bought a DSTT for a DS lite. Everything worked OK for a month then intermitantly started to fail. Got around it by moving a few files around on the microSD. Then after a while it stopped working completely. Reformatted many times. Still didn't go. Checked it out and it wasn't a fake.

Bought an R4 (but kept the old microSD). Downloaded kernel 1.18 with all the right files. Didn't work (stayed on the loading screen). Bought a new microSD card (scandisk 1 GB, authentic). Formatted to FAT 16 /32kb clusters. Still no luck.

Reformatted on a different computer (both computers running vista).
Still no luck. Tried kernel 1.16.

The DS works as I have played a bought game.

I have tried two different cards, two microSD cards, triedin various formats, various kernels and reformatted on different computers.

    What could be going on???

Try formatting the sd cards with panasonic sd formatter (use google to find) windows does not format sd cards correctly.

Looking at what has happened the DSTT looks like it has gone faulty, if you can, return it.

The problem with R4 is the many versions of software available, was the card you bought definately an original R4 or was it Advanced, SDHC or any of the other many versions. It may be that the software is incorrect.

I'm having an unusual problem. I purchased a DSTT card last January (2008) and up to a few months ago everything was working ok. When I download recent games they wont load and come up with the loading error message. The older games I have still work like a dream though. Therefore I assume there is nothing wrong with the card but more like a firmware/moonshell issue. Does anyone have any suggestions??
