Copied DVD using NERO on Plextor 708A with 2xDVD-R blank - no problems during burn - but DVD only plays on Plextor - not any other computer/home DVD player so far. Is there a way to configute the burn output so that the final disk plays on most players? Have burned DVDs OK with X-Copy but I hate that program - all the coasters. Have: XP Home P4 120 G HD Nero 6 (new install) Plextor PX-708A 1 G Ram
I'm not sure what's going on with your burner because all the copies I've made on my 708 play great in a variety of set-tops. What software are you using now instead of XCopy?
Well - I've tried Roxio, Xcopy and switched to Nero 6.0.0.6 OEM today, with the last burn with Nero 6. The burn was smooth, but won't play unless I click on each VOB file. XCopy does DVD+r fine but stalls on DVD-r at least twice, filling my home with coasters and little frisbees. I've lived in the forums lately and advice I seem to pick up is to rip the DVD with Xcopy, change the temp file name, close X-copy and burn with Nero. I've tried everything else and as soon as I re-stock with DVD-R (The only format my home player works with), I'll give that a shot.
