    how do i contact dell to get this damned drive to open? anyone got a phone # or e-mail address/ HELP

    I've seen many members having trouble with the phillips burners in their dells. The majority of them had them replaced with nec's and were very satisfied.When you get in touch with them, demand a new NEC 3520 drive. They may fight with you,but keep on them and they will give you a new drive.

    Hi there,

    Dell was shipping NEC-3450A (It's what I have now).
    Not long ago, some people mentionned they have received the NEC-3530A.

    I heard the NEC-3450A is the Dell OEM of the NEC-3500.

    I wonder if the NEC-3530A is the Dell OEM of the NEC-3520A or the latest NEC-3540A.

    Man, that's a lot of numbers :)
