philips dvdram sdvd8821h firmware

    I've found out that philips haven't released any firmware for philips dvdram sdvd8821h. I also noticed that my dvd rom is running off of driver that came with windows XP. The date of this XP DVD/CD rom driver is from 7/1/2001. I'm just wondering if there is a newer DVD/CD rom driver from windows.

    From some reason I think this philips dvd rom slower than most...
