I have a phillips drive and for some reason, it won't read Sony dvd-+ r, i have burnt them with image burner and nero at lowests speed which was 2.4 and 16x disc at 1x, no luck drive reads it as empty, my nephues have a thompson drive and all those work great, what could it be, you guys think it might be the media, and if that's the problem what media do you recommend. I know verbatim is good but what is the majority of ppl use on there phillips drive. (media) thanks guys in advance

What media do have success in chuckyhead ? I don't want to buy like 4 different types and then have no success with those either you know what mean.
The Phillips is a pretty good drive, I just have had one that wouldn't read certain discs, not the type of media! It would read right across the scale, from Verbatim to CMC that I use on a day to day basis! Just certain discs! Try Verbatim or TDK first!
