Hi, I've seen the Phillips 610 DVD-R on sale, seems like a good buy but I'm wondering if anyone here has any comments - good or bad - on it? I can find little info about it which has me a little worried! thanks, BOF
... I don't know much about the DVDR610, but I can tell you that being a Philips it uses DVD+R, DVD+RW discs NOT DVD-R and DVD-RW. Also it is NOT aprogressive scan DVD recorder/player. Just because of that, I would not consider buying the unit ... There are lots of reasonably priced DVD recorders to be had that have progressive scan ...
