I am new to this area, but have a few questions. I am taking old slides and scanning them into my computer. (tif files) I would like to find a way to get them on a DVD so that I can play them as a slideshow on my fathers dvd/tv. I have a program from hp that will put them on cd. I just figured DVD would be better.(quailty/more pics) I would aslo like to put some on DVD as data. My nero wont let me do the tif files. Do I need to convert to jpeg first? If so what do you all recommend? Free ware is preferable, but I would like to check all options. Thanks
Not sure why Nero isn't letting you do what you want. All you need to do is open smart start etc... make cd/dvd data disk and select files, I've just tried it on Jpeg anf Tiff and all can be selected ready to burn to disk. Otherwise you should be able to open your folder with the photos and then choose edit with paint and (save as) change to jpeg etc... Also I use Ulead DVD picture show, its very easy and you can add menus and music to the slide show.(not free, but not expensive. Also free trial available here: http://www.ulead.com/dps/trial.htm
