Photoshop 7 problem...

    Hi everyone. Something has happened to my PS 7. I click on the icon to open it and it starts loading plug-ins,brushes etc but when it gets to Loading Color Preferences it disappears. Thats as far as it gets. It started when I connected an old Mirascan scanner and loaded the driver. Ive tried everything from reinstalling to system restore. Can someone help me with this please?

    No I haven't been able to resolve this one.Uninstalled the scanner as well.
