Maybe I'm slow but I want to mix up some photos and videos on one DVD. New Nero 8 user but tried other software without luck. Every option I look for seems to separate photos and videos. Is there an easy way to do it?
burn as a Data DVD ..... this way you can put in JPGs, BMPs,etc and MPGs, AVIs, etc. (pictures and video) on a DVD or CD, together!
Another way (depending on the number of photos) is to use VirtualDub to make .avi stills of each pic then use Nero Vision to 'Make Movie'. The stills are added where required between the videos. Then it's saved as a DVD. In VirtualDub you load and 'copy' the frame, then hold down 'Ctrl-v' to rapidly make ~100 copies (~5 seconds of avi?) If it's saved as DivX it has to be compliant (which means it might need a pixel or two trimmed before saving (or resized with the likes of IrfanView before loading into VDub). I've seen a free app that will take a pic and crop as required to PAL or NTSC frame size. Good luck.
