Hi all I made a slideshow with my digital prints and added audio files and when it came time to save to CD/DVD it asks which ones and gives a list of extentions I tried one on the CD High-Mat because it was the default an it cannot play in any of our dvd players. What is the most common file extenstion to save in that is recognized by most dvd players. And should it be burned to cd or dvd? Thank-you so much for any help and I'm really sorry if I am posting this is the wrong forum...
DVD-Video isn't a file format, like MPG or AVI. DVD Video is made up of several files, in the form of .ifo, .vob, etc. Even if you export your picture slideshow as a video format, you'll need to convert it to a DVD Image to play it on DVD players. For this, you'll need a DVD authoring program. If you want a video CD, you will use the SVCD format, although this isn't supported by many devices. If you need more specific help, post what software you're using, what method you're using, etc.
