picture break up and freezing on starview 1

    Hi
    my starvie 1 clone box seems to be playing up picture breaks up, scrambled channel sign comes up and picture freezes

    what can this be?

    someone has told me my coaxial cable is too long and will need a cable signal amplifier but if i cut my coaxial cable could this improve picture quality

    Why cut it surely it must be as long as you need it? Unless of course you have a lot of slack coiled up :)

    Check your connections also.

    Cut it to suit, leave a small bit of slack in case you need to move it around. Re-terminate ;)
