Picture looks weird

    i just reinstalled my computer and when i open video files. it plays it but there is a light over it basically it washes out the picture. i tried installing codecs but thats not it. Vlc media player does the same thing. Any help would be appreciated thx in advance

    It only does this on video playback?? I would think to check you video card and make sure it is seated properly in the slot.

    Is the video card involved in computer games too? My gaming is fine colors r good. wheres the video card located?

    Did you just ask that?
    My friend, video cards make the gaming experince worthwhile on PCs.
    It compliments the game makers, their graphics and well does pretty much the same thing that HDTV will do to me this football season. lol.

    The video card is located in side the computer. It depends if you have onboard video(integrated video card on motherboard) or an actual video card. Open your PC and see what the monitor connection is connected to. If it's the motherboard (usually the more advanced looking piece of internal hardware) then it's onboard. If not then you have a video card.
