I have a Western digital Hard drive in PIO mode.It is set up as a slave drive on my primary channel. If I uninstall the primary ide channel to fix my slave hard drive will it affect the master primary hard drive. Any help would be appreciated.
It shouldn't matter, you can uninstall both of their drivers if you want, so both can "enable" DMA back On. Go here http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/260038 for more info.
It worked. Thanks alkohol. I just wanted to make sure it was alright to do that if you had 2 hard drives on the same channel.
