i have no prob burning dvd,but they will only play in the burner, they are not recognised by the other pc dvd or the stand alone, have i just got a melon of a burner or could installing new firmware solve my problem
It could be your fault if you've not successfully backed up a DVD-R (+R) that plays in your stand alone player to date. What method are you using for backing up ? DVD Decrypter DVD2One Nero [Burning Rom] ..for instance
i began by using dvd decrypter, infoedit and nero.now i use dvdxcopy, which copies them perfect but will only play in the burner, any ideas as to why the pc dvd can't read it.it does'nt even see it in the drive.
If you're going to continue to use DVDxCopy I'd suggest using http://dvdxcopy.afterdawn.com/ forum m8
If you want your software free then replace IFOedit for DVD Shrink (it comes quite highly recommended) ! : )
I just got a new PC with a Pioneer DVR-105 in it. Last night I made a backup copy of a single layer movie using only DVD Decrypter (mode ISO read then write). Burned copy plays in PC drives and both Sony standalone DVD players. I didn't expect it because they're older players. I tested first with Fuji DVD-RW, then permanent copy on CompUSA DVD-R. I'm happy!! Now on to dual layer DVDs.....
