could someone PLEASE tell me how to cretae a dvd backup using the pioneer 106 writer. The programs i have are dvd decrypter, dvd2one, nero 6 , and pinnacle instant cd. When i use nero 6, the disc fails at end, log says invalid block address and could not finalise dvd.

    Thanks

Try the disc as there is a fair chance it may still work. I got those errors with nero for ages but the movies still played fine!

Burning with nero is still giving playback problems when an error at the end occurs.

Now managed to copy dvd's fine using pinnacle instant cd. Cheers anyway

Only thing is some of my foreign dvd's are only playing in black and white on my sony dvd player, yet they work fine in colour in my pc and my mates dvd player?

Does anyone know what could cause this?

I bet they are french or something. SECAM is very similar to PAL and it will play on your DVD palyer, but only in black and white, not colour.
