I ca copy normal dvd discs properly but when i burn a dual layer disc it doesnt go past 50%.

I use ImageBurn to copy a X360 game but it wont burn after 50%. I think it cant burn onto the other layer.

Is there a way to fix this or am i stuffed and have to buy a new drive? please help.

It's an older drive so it may not do that well newer dual layer media.

What dl media are you using? Like Verbatim +R DL 8x

Make sure the firmware is up to date. Here's a link.
If you bought the drive use 1.58. If the drive came w/ the pc (oem drive) then use the one for the pc.

Okay then it's more then likely your drives firmware doesn't support the discs you're using.
Switch to Verbatim DL discs - look for 4x & under.

Well it's an older drive with the last firmware up date to 2006.
Aone cna also use different manufacturers and they ones that worked before may have had a different manufacturer.
