Are the 106 burners made by Pioneer or by an OEM manufacturer?

Slighly confused by the question. Pioneer makes their own drives.

No dude, the a06 and the 106 are exactly the same, i was going to get the a06, went with the 106, $50 cheaper, tho it comes without a cardboard box, the the retail comes with one or two more pieces of s/ware, which i didn't need anyway.

Whatever differences there are physically, inside it's the same drive, and from what i was able to gather b4 i bought it, pioneer make both.

I have a Pioneer A05 dvd-r burner. I have had it for about a year. I installed it, everything was working fine and now all of a sudden it's not in my comupter folder. I uninstalled and installed it. I have updated it. I have tried everything. Does anyone have any ideas?
