Hey Im new here, so i hope i dont do anything to annoy anyone, but heres my problem anyway. I have got a Pioneer DV-R 107d and although it wasnt great (wouldnt burn at 4X) it would do the job of reading and writing. Until I changed to a lesser known brand of DVD-R discs. I then thought "its just the media". SO I bought myself a new stack of the first DVD-Rs i used (TDK). NOw they dont work. And i tried to read a normal dvd and it wont read it. When i put a blank dvd in, the icon in my computer says its a cd. I also get these messages in nero "Power calibration error" and "all writers idle, stopping conversion" and "Positioning error". They seem to be the problem. I have read a number of threads on here and other sites. Although most of them are simular to my case, the problems go unanswered or the solutions given dont work for me. I cant clean my laser at this point in tme, because of warrenty issues. Thanks in anvance
