greets, i have a dvr-104 and all of a sudden when it opens and closes very slow and when i put a disc in or just close it with nothing in it keeps popping out, prior to this i was reading TONS of files off of it... and when it happened i was reading a disc that seems to have some weird burn...like a ring on it or something... i put it in my dvd-rom and tried to read the same data off of it with no avail, just started scanning really fast when it got to that point...wonder if this could have caused it, anyway it was very hot and just doing all of that, wtf is wrong with it? and i have unplugged it for now but turned my computer back on b/c i dont wanna lose my queue slots lol... i will have a look at it later, anybody know what this could be? i'll be super pissed if my drive is dead.

update: it detects it on my computer, but the drive wont open, could this be a firmware? also i cant find SHIT on pioneers site about any kind of warranty but im pretty sure its only 1 year and i've had the drive over a year..., anybody know where i can go for this? UGH i am really frustrated. out of all my fusking drives it had to be the most expensive one to fusk up...UGH

any help will be appreciated as to what to do with this...

if i can't do anything with it do you think it would sell just AS IS on ebay? for 20-30 bucks?

You could try a firmware upgrade. Go to the website in my url, click on Downloads >> Pioneer... and select the DVR104 upgrade. If that doesnt work, you may have a busted drive!

Take it out and buy a new one i think. Check the trouble shooting in your user manual or on the Pioneer website
